Heres what our customers in Shaftesbury think

I have had excellent, friendly service at both the Gillingham and Shaftesbury stores but would like to specially mention Kath in Shaftesbury who was particularly helpful over what was probably the smallest sale they made all week!

– Guy Hockley - Oct 14, 2020

Good people - they changed a watch strap that I supplied and refused all offers of payment. Good service like this deserves our support!

– Andrew Jones - Jul 12, 2019

The staff are very polite and friendly, they stock some lovely stuff. I was in there for a new watch strap and battery which they did quickly and efficiently.

About Our Shaftesbury Store

Allum & Sidaway jewellers in Shaftesbury are located on 26A High St, Shaftesbury, a picturesque market town in the County of Dorset, England. Situated at 750 feet above sea-level, Shaftesbury is one of the highest towns in England, famous for its quaint ‘chocolate box’ cobblestone streets and pretty stone cottages. Gold Hill is the ancient cobbled street, formerly the main street of Shaftesbury, and the site of the annual Gold Hill Fair. Originally settled by the Saxons due to its commanding position overlooking the surrounding areas, Shaftesbury provides scenic overlooks above the Blackmore Vale and down into the chalk downs of Cranbourne Chase. Shaftesbury Abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII during the 16th century but its ruins remain at the site and are now protected by a walled garden. It is a wonderful location for walkers and those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside. It has lots of interesting buildings in addition to a variety of charming shops, cafes and restaurants. Quintessentially English, this beautiful town won’t disappoint you. Renamed ‘Shaston’ by Thomas Hardy in his Wessex novels, it is as pretty as a picture and straight out of a Hardy novel.
