About Our Salisbury Store
Allum & Sidaway jewellers in Salisbury are located at 20-22 Minster Street in the beautiful city of Salisbury, a cathedral city in the county of Wiltshire in the English West Country.
Perhaps best known for Salisbury Cathedral, a gothic-style cathedral constructed between 1220 and 1258, famous for having the tallest spire in the United Kingdom at 404 feet, Salisbury was an important medieval market town, and has long been a major trading centre. The old city centre has a checkerboard layout, and pretty enclosed gardens squeezed between the houses.
The views of Salisbury and the surrounding countryside are magnificent from the cathedral, which is also home to one of the four surviving copies of the medieval Magna Carta, issued in 1215 by King John, in an attempt to prevent a civil war with his powerful barons, it laid out peace terms and over the centuries has become a symbol of fairness and human rights across the world.
Only 10 miles from Stonehenge, and a few hours drive from London, Salisbury continues to be a popular destination for visitors. Full of historic buildings, art and artefacts it remains an attractive and bustling city, equally as popular for its shopping as its sightseeing opportunities, it is now home to many fine stores, boutiques and restaurants.

Where do we begin...... We came to Allum & Sidaway in March 2015 after seeing their stall at a wedding fair. Bespoke Jewellery Design
Either commissioning your own unique piece of jewellery or remodelling a family heirloom our team of designers will provide and guide you through each step of the process before our goldsmiths create your special piece of jewellery.
Interest Free Credit
You can spread the cost of your purchases over any period between 6 and 12 months. Interest Free Credit is now available in all of our stores, for purchases over £500.
Jewellery Repairs & Alterations
Our workshops will carry out every day repairs including ring sizing, soldering, replacing stones and repairing worn settings.
Watch Servicing and Repairs
We can service all brands of watches through our own workshop or returning your watch to the manufacturer. From a water resistance test to the restoration of an old worn dial our workshop can deal with most requests and batteries are replaced on site whilst you wait.
Jewellery Valuations
Valuations for both Probate and Insurance replacement are carried out on site by a National Association of Goldsmiths registered Valuer. You will receive a photograph of each piece along with its comprehensive description. All jewellery is fully insured whilst under our care.
Re-stringing Pearls
We can rethread your pearl and bead necklaces and clean your pearls at the same time.
Ear Piercing
We are proud to offer professional ear piercing by appointment at four of our stores.
