The Jersey Pearl story started with one man, Fred Scragg, and his love of pearls. Fred travelled the world as an inventor and engineer and fell in love with pearls along the way.
Fred was also passionate about the beautiful island of Jersey, which is known for its historic sites, gorgeous beaches, excellent restaurants and amazing scenery.
Fred noticed that the many visitors and holidaymakers coming to the island on holiday often bought special gifts and mementos of their time on Jersey to take home with them. He recognised that holidays offer a precious and often rare opportunity to spend time with the people we love, making memories in the places we love, and that is what the Jersey Pearl company has come to represent.
On 5th May 1985, Fred and his family opened up a 15,000 square foot dedicated pearl showroom, Jersey pearl. Since then, tens of millions of visitors have delighted in their beautiful collections, some returning year after year, or for special occasions, to find unique and precious pearl jewellery and gifts.
The name Jersey Pearl, and their instantly recognizable gold crown logo, are now well known internationally and their brand is widely respected. Not only are they a vast source of information on pearls and the natural world surrounding them, but they demonstrate a firm commitment to offsetting their carbon-footprint, investing in green energy sources and protecting the planet.

Emma-Kate Francis Collection
This collection of uncomplicated classic earrings, necklaces and bracelets feature shimmering freshwater pearls set into sterling silver, rose-gold plated or yellow gold-plated caps. Emma-Kate Francis, known for her work with the Victoria & Albert Museum, helped to create romantic vintage-inspired pieces that reflect her love of Art Nouveau. Coast Collection

This modern-classic mother of pearl jewellery pays homage to the beautiful sand dunes of St. Ouen’s bay. Jersey Pearl Crown Standard pearls have excellent lustre and surface quality. Signature standard pearls have very good lustre and a lightly spotted surface.
